Shipping & Returns
We offer two shipping options to suit your needs:
1. Mondial Relay (Pickup Option)
This is our most economical shipping option. You can choose a convenient Mondial Relay pickup location. Please note that this service is not insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit, claims must be made directly with Mondial Relay. We are unfortunately unable to assist with refunds or handle claims for this option.
2. Official Post (Insured Option)
For full peace of mind, we recommend shipping via the official post, which is fully insured. In case of damage, we can assist you by submitting a claim to the carrier. To do so, it is essential that you contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order, providing:
Photos of the packaging
Photos of the shipping label
Photos of the damage to the packaging
Photos of the damage to the product from multiple angles
Once we submit your claim, the carrier will open a dossier and review the case. If approved, they will issue a refund to us, which we will then pass on to you. Please note that this process may take several weeks, as the carrier has its own procedures and timelines.
Shipping Times for Larger or Fragile Items
For larger items, such as chairs, side tables, and fragile objects, shipping may take longer than standard packages. These items require careful cleaning, secure packaging, and carrier scheduling, which can delay shipping depending on it’s size.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we ensure that every item reaches you safely and in perfect condition.
Returns
You have 1 day from when your order is delivered to submit your return. They must be sent in their original condition (packaging, accessories, tag, etc.), You must Submit the return by sending an message via our contact form. After approval you have another 2 days to send the item back.
We do not refund money back but you will receive the amount of money on a giftcard. These giftcards are valid for 1 year. Return costs are not funded by us.
The Product(s) must be returned to the address that will be given via email or message, not to any pick up points or other nearby locations.
Any parcel returned after the prescribed timeframe shall be refused and returned to the sender. No parcel returned as cash on delivery shipping shall be accepted, whatever the reason. The costs and risks pertaining to the return of Product(s) are borne by the sender.
In order for the customer service to accept the return, the Product(s) must be returned in full condition in its original packing, undamaged, with its label attached,, accompanied by all of its accessories.
L’archive du collectionist cannot be held responsible in the event of loss, theft or damage of the parcel. Parcels for which the Customer’s identification (surname, first name, address and return code) is not possible shall be refused.
On receipt of the Product(s) returned by the Customer, the customer service shall send a confirmation of receipt of the Product by e-mail support@larchiveducollectionist.com
Pickup and Acceptance of Item Condition
By collecting an item in person, the customer confirms that they have inspected and accepted the condition of the item at the time of pickup. Once the item is accepted, the purchase is final.
Returns, exchanges, or refunds based on change of mind or dissatisfaction with the item's condition are not permitted, in accordance with Belgian and EU regulations on the right of withdrawal, which does not apply to in-person purchases where the consumer has had the opportunity to examine the goods.
Customer-Arranged Pickup or Transport
For items collected in person or transported by a carrier arranged by the customer, L’archive du collectionist cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs once the item leaves our storage space.
Ownership and responsibility for the item transfer to the customer at the moment of collection or handover to the chosen carrier.
Any damage occurring during transit, handling, or transport under these circumstances is beyond our control, and we are unable to provide refunds, exchanges, or compensation.
